1972 Volvo 1800E - $19,500 - Lawrence, KS - 1972 Volvo P1800E Sports Coupe - The 1972 P1800 Sports Coupe was a lower production car so these are getting harder to find. Most of the cars that are in this condition are disappearing fast! Runs and drives well. It is in very good shape and has only 45,565 miles on it.
I purchased this car from the original owner who stored the car in a heated garage back in 1993. This explains the condition. I still have the original title which was sent to the owner (see attached). I also have the original Volvo service manual for the car.
It has a 4-speed manual with overdrive. It came with factory air conditioning and an 8-track stereo. The interior is original and in good condition. The body is in good condition. Before the car was put into storage in 1993, the exterior was repainted in close to the original color. The original color is still in the engine compartment and trunk, which is a slightly darker shade of green. All chrome and glass are original and in good condition.
When I purchased it in November 2012 I had it checked out by Bob's Imports in Lawrence, KS and I had them do some work to it, including replacement of the fuel injectors, some re-wiring, a new battery, and miscellaneous other minor work. I also have two snow tires for the car, but I didn't drive it in the three winters that I have had it - and it started right up whenever I check up on it in my garage during the winter months.
If there was any such thing as a Volvo “Low Mileage Club” this car would surely be in it! Asking $19,500 for this gem of a car!
